decisions, decisions...

Well, while you were reading really smart publications like the wallstreet journal, I was shopping. I know, how shallow of me. I just got this domino magazine, and there was a code to get 20% off at allposters.com. :) I am trying to decide between these prints...what do you think? I'm thinking I most definitely want "the breakfast" for my kitchen. I'm a sucker for images of of rustic comfort, such as coffee and newspapers and bread.

does it seem like I'm avoiding obama? I am, I know. It's just that I hardly know how to handle all the gooey-love-oprah-charisma-buzz. Not that any of the other figures on the political horizon intrigue me at all, or even fill me with even a glimmer of hope. (now i am sounding cynical.) I don't know what's come over me, I'm just incredibly disillusioned by our national leadership lately. It's not like I never had faith in the system, I did...but now I just don't even feel like voting. I know that's blasphemy for smart women like us. how can I shake my political malaise?

mmmm, the breakfast seems kitchen appropriate and not in a cliché way. but i have always loved miro . . .

if it makes you feel better i found the article on the juxtapoz website (i don't usually browse the ny times site . . . i need arty pictures . . .)

oh nic, don't avoid!! don't subscribe to jacob's "thoughts" on voting/government/politics!! you, girl who feels oh so passionately about everything. . . if nothing else you have to stay involved inhonor of my sassy voting t-shirt . . . how can i "get it on" with boys who vote when my best friend doesn't want to vote?

it can be overwhelming though. i feel disenchanted but not completely disenfranchised. really i am not so cynical as to not have any *hope*.

somewhat anecdotal reason why i like obama; mccain voted to get rid of the national endowment for the arts (plus the whole 100 years of war thing--boooo mccain! i will NEVER vote for him). clinton voted to keep the national endowment for the arts as it is but barack voted to increase their funding. i mean, come on i think even your artist lover would vote for the person who will give the most money to artists!

sorry if this was an argumentative comment! blame it on my maina and 7pm coffee . . .
